Setup Steps for the Buyer
Week 1: Take Ownership
Day 1 — Get Your Foundation in Place
Read through all files in /home/team/shared/ — especially the business model files (pitch, pricing tiers, acquisition strategy)
Review the demo site at /home/team/shared/demo/ — open index.html, demo-flow.html, and pricing.html to see what your clients will see
Read the demo scenario at /home/team/shared/demo-scenario.md — this is your sales story
Read the deployment package: deployment-client-onboarding.md, deployment-setup-checklist.md, deployment-training-guide.md
Day 2 — Customize Your Brand
Update the demo website (index.html) with your own company name, logo, and contact info
Replace "[Your Name]" and "[Company Name]" placeholders across all templates
Set up an email address for SecurityQuote AI inbound inquiries
Set up a domain or subdomain to host the demo site
Day 3 — Set Up Your Infrastructure
Choose a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, or simpler like Pipedrive) — you'll connect client leads through this
Set up a payment processor (Stripe is ideal for recurring subscriptions)
Configure Stripe billing for 3 tiers: $750, $1,250, $2,000/month + $995 setup fee
Set up standard email/SMS delivery infrastructure (recommend Twilio for SMS, SendGrid for email)
Week 2: Prepare to Sell
Day 4 — Build Your Prospect List
Research security companies in your area (or nationally):
Google Maps: "security system installer" "alarm company" "camera installation"
LinkedIn: "Owner" + "Security Systems" company
ASIS International directory, ESA member directory
SDM Magazine's Top 100 list
Build a pipeline of 50+ target prospects
Load them into the Campaign Template from the outreach files
Day 5 — Prepare Your Sales Materials
Customize the pitch deck (business-model-pitch.md) with your branding
Prepare the ROI calculator demo (it's built into the pricing page — just send the link)
Write your own cold email sequence using the outreach templates as reference
Prepare the interactive demo flow (demo-flow.html) as your main sales tool — walk prospects through the Mitchell Logistics scenario
Day 6 — Practice the Demo
Walk through the demo-flow.html step by step — know it cold
Practice handling these objections (scripts are in the files):
"How is this different from my sales team just following up?"
"$1,250/month is expensive"
"I don't have a CRM"
"Can I try it first?"
Prepare a 7-day free trial offer: run the Follow-Up Agent on 5 of their dead/stale quotes
Week 3: First Clients
Day 7-10 — Outbound Sales Sprint
Send cold emails to your top 20 prospects
Follow up with calls (use the cold call scripts in outreach files)
Book demos and walk through the interactive demo flow
Close at least 1 client
Day 11-14 — Onboard Your First Client
Use deployment-client-onboarding.md — follow the 7-day plan exactly
Send the kickoff email template to the client's team
Run through the setup checklist
Go live on Day 6
Review metrics on Day 7 using the monthly report template
Month 2: Scale
Week 5-6 — Refine & Repeat
Document what worked in your sales process
Get your first client testimonial
Launch the referral program: existing clients refer others for 1 month free
Reach out to security equipment distributors (ADI Global, Anixter, Wesco) as channel partners
Week 7-8 — Hire or Systematize
If closing yourself: aim for 5 clients by end of Month 2
Consider hiring a commission-only sales rep once you hit 5 clients
Set up automated client reporting using the monthly report template
Month 3: $100K Path Active
5 clients at $750 Starter = $3,750/mo
3 clients at $1,250 Professional = $3,750/mo
2 clients at $2,000 Enterprise = $4,000/mo
Total MRR: $11,500/mo = $138,000/year
Or more conservatively: 10 clients at $850 avg = $102,000/year
